Rick Owens' Fall/Winter 2017 "Glitter" collection vest is called the Banana Vest and perfectly embodies Owens' vision of post-apocalyptic elegance and architectural minimalism.

This particular piece features a distinctive, exaggeratedly rounded shape reminiscent of an inverted banana, making it stand out amongst conventional silhouettes. A dramatic two-way zipper connects the front and back, dominating the minimalist black body in a solid technical fabric with a slight sheen. The absence of any pockets or decorations makes the cut, volume and structure of the vest itself stand out.

The "Glitter" collection, in which this piece was first introduced, does not glorify glitter despite the name - quite the opposite.
