Very rare high-top trainers, sneakers or chucks in black leather embroidered with dragons - a variation of the Converse Chuck Taylor. From Gucci, around 2001, when Tom Ford was still there and using Asian-inspired icons and motifs.
The original price was about $800 - the equivalent of about $1100 in 2017 dollars. Impeccable condition; worn only two or three times.
The closest pair available elsewhere is in size US9.5, in burgundy instead of black, and priced at $690!
These high-tops are the "Gucci Chuck Taylor with the dragon on the side" that Pusha T referenced in the 2002 song Grindin' by Clipse.
Round toe. Rubber sole. The rest of the shoe is rich, supple Nappa leather (unlike the canvas of Chuck Taylors). The leather upper includes complex embroidery of oriental dragon motifs on the ankles and toe. Finished with contrasting gold eyelets and robust leather laces. The model name is Scarpa Sportiva Pell, which means Pell Sports Shoes.
