This is an EXTREMELY RARE and vintage GUCCI box calf leather shoulder bag. It dates back to a brief period in the 1950s, following the passing of Gucci founder Guccio Gucci, when his son Aldo changed the Gucci GG logo to an emblem of a knight standing within a shield. The Gucci logo was later edited for their monogram print in the 1960s. You can see the knight in shield emblem on the original zipper pull, still in fantastic vintage condition, on the inside the bag and in the photos.This is a truly stunning bag for a collector that appreciates a rare piece with historical significance!

This is a bucket-style shoulder bag, with one interior zipper pocket and one interior slip pocket. This gorgeous vintage piece has gold-tone hardware and a fold over leather piece with a snap clasp closure.

11"W x 3 1/2"D x 9 1/2"H (10" shoulder strap drop).  

Labeled: Made in Italy by Gucci.

Condition: 
This is a vintage piece and may show signs of wear consistent with age and normal use. There may be some scratches, rubs, tarnishing, or discoloration to the hardware and/or the leather. This bag is in truly incredible condition for it's age as though the owner merely kept her in storage for years.
