Y's Yohji Yamamoto FW08 wool coat with sculptural detail

This black wool coat comes from the fashion house of one of Japanese most famous designers: Yohji Yamamoto. The coat was part of the Fall-Winter collection of 2008. It has an avant-garde, timeless look.

This coat is a twist on the classic coat, created by adding more length to the neckline. This way a sculptural wavy neckline is created. The slits of the sleeves can be worn open and closed through the added metal snap-closure. These snap buttons are also on the main closure of the coat. The coat has 2 side pockets for comfort. To make the coat even more comfortable, they've put more supple fabric in the armpits. This way the coat falls beautifully along the body and it creates more arm space. The seams are professionally finished on the inside with bias tape.
