An exceptional archival Gucci by Tom Ford silk halter top from the Spring/Summer 2004 collection.

This piece comes from my mother’s wardrobe and has never been worn. It still retains its original Gucci swing tags, making it an especially desirable find for collectors of Tom Ford-era Gucci.

Crafted in luxurious ivory silk, the top features a dramatic plunging halter neckline, fluid draped sleeves, long self-tie waist sashes finished with striking black silk tassels, and delicate gold-tone hardware on the halter straps. The design perfectly reflects the sensual, glamorous aesthetic that defined Tom Ford’s final collections for Gucci.  

According to the original production labels, this piece belongs to the Spring/Summer 2004 collection (style 121572 ZH017). While extensive research into the published runway archives has not revealed this style among the documented catwalk looks, it appears to have been produced for the commercial boutique collection rather than the runway presentation. Pieces like this are often considerably harder to find today than the runway looks themselves, making it a particularly uncommon archival Gucci garment.
