Forget the completely diluted Cardin of the 80s. This piece of jewelry comes from the collection of one of Mr. Cardin's collaborators in the 60s-70s, when he was (rightly) considered the most modern and adventurous designer of his generation.
This jewel dates from that era and is therefore of very high quality craftsmanship. Its design is wonderfully representative of the modernism of the 60s.
